
If you’re not already journaling, you should give a try. Start a daily journal is just spending a few minutes each day journaling something that make you grateful. It can helps you in so many ways. Its an easy task. Just grab a journal or notebook and then follow these guidelines.
- Open you journal or notebook and write the date at the top of the page.
- Take a minute or two to think about how your day has gone so far. Think about what has happened, how you felt about it then and thought patterns throughout the day. If you trying to write a gratitude journal, you can start it by writing three to five things that you grateful that day.
- Write it down!
It really is that easy. If you find you are having trouble thinking of what to say or write in the blank page, try this tips:
- Find fun journal prompts. There are whole books on journal prompts or you can find them online.
- Free write. Take your 5 minutes and just write down whatever comes into your head. Sure, it may not be the most insightful writing you’ve ever done, but you also maybe surprised by what you come up with when you just open your heart and see positive things.
- Don’t limit yourself to words. Remember, this journal is yours to use as you wish, so if you feel like drawing, doodling, pasting in pressed flowers, coloring, taping washi tape or tickets or whatever, then go for it!
Journaling is quick and easy activity that can help you organize your thoughts, make sense of what happens to you and how you react to it and dive deeper into recognizing your own patterns, habits and tendencies. The simple act of writing can be a blissful release of creative energy and clearing your head leaves more room for contentment and joy.
